Meet Mireille.

"The world is full of patterns.
You only have to slow down enough to see them"

Hello, I'm Mireille!

For as long as I can remember, I've been fascinated by patterns. Not only the ones found on paper, but also those quietly hidden in the world around us.

A weathered cathedral floor. A Japanese garden. An old stone carving. The veins of a leaf. The rhythm of roof tiles. The symmetry of flowers.

Whenever I travel or wander through nature, I collect these moments of quiet beauty. They become observations, photographs and, eventually, new illustrations.

Every illustration and specimen published by TangleGarden is created by hand in my own studio. The observations are carefully gathered during my travels and walks in nature, where they serve as seeds for new ideas.

Drawing has never been just a hobby for me. It is how I slow down. How I observe. How I make sense of the beauty around me.

My hope is that TangleGarden encourages you to look a little closer too, to discover that extraordinary patterns often hide inside the ordinary.

If one of these observations inspires you to pick up a pen, create your own drawing or simply notice something beautiful during your next walk, then TangleGarden has fulfilled its purpose.

A small invitation:

Take a sketchbook on your next walk.

Pause.
Look closely.
Notice a pattern that catches your eye.

Draw what you see.

Perfection isn't the goal.
Seeing is.
